Just like in a dream, nothing in the material world is permanent.The only thing permanent is the concoiusness, i.e. our souls.
Everything else comes and goes... status, rank, wealth, power, objects, etc. Even relationships break, just like objects, and situations change. .

Object (Non)PermanenceEdit

Everyone in their childhood learn that objects continue to exist, even when they cannot be seen, heard, or touched. This makes us falsely believe that these objects are supposed to last forever.

My body (or substance) in its nature is not permanent;
Thus, then, my body is not a body.
My body in its nature not being a body,
I therefore say that it is empty and not permanent.

Ekashloka Shastra

Lose sight of this principle of nothingness; and prefer to reside in body;
You then obtain a view of things as permanent.
If you say that afterwards they are to be destroyed,
You thus come to see things as having cessation.

Object PreservanceEdit

Anything that is not preserved will decay, fade, and be lost. This includes both material objects and æthereal concepts.

Preservation of material objectsEdit

Material objects include furnitures, buildings, machinery, electronics, etc.

Preservation of Æthereal ConceptsEdit

Æthereal Concepts are knowledge and entertainment. This includes culture, tradition, ideas, ideals, values, etc.
